El conocido slogan de la campa\u00f1a de Luchemos por la Vida resulta m\u00e1s que adecuado ante el pr\u00f3ximo lanzamiento mundial, el 28 de octubre, del Segundo Decenio de Acci\u00f3n para la Seguridad Vial, promovido por las Naciones Unidas, para reducir los muertos en todo el mundo, al menos, un 50% en 10 a\u00f1os. Para lograrlo, el llamado va acompa\u00f1ado de una propuesta de metas de acci\u00f3n para esta d\u00e9cada.<\/p>\n<p>Una de ellas es lograr reducir las velocidades de circulaci\u00f3n en general y especialmente, en zonas urbanas donde haya mayor interacci\u00f3n de peatones y de todo tipo de veh\u00edculos, motorizados y no motorizados. Y los resultados, hasta el momento, son promisorios. Las autoridades de 26 municipios ya se han comprometido a implementar cambios en sus ciudades en esta direcci\u00f3n. La ciudad de Bah\u00eda Blanca ya lo implementa y mide sus positivos efectos.<\/p>\n<p>Bah\u00eda Blanca, 300.000 habitantes al sur de la provincia de Buenos Aires, legisl\u00f3 y puso en vigencia la \u201czona 30\u201d en las 36 manzanas del centro bahiense y en la carretera de Parque Mayo, el pulm\u00f3n verde de la ciudad. Y sus mediciones de siniestralidad vial ya est\u00e1n mostrando una reducci\u00f3n del 67% en la cantidad de siniestros acaecidos en la zona desde la implementaci\u00f3n de la medida en comparaci\u00f3n con igual per\u00edodo del a\u00f1o 2019 (16\/5\/21 hasta el 30\/9\/21). Resultados alentadores que se ver\u00e1n, sin duda incrementados, con la continuidad de controles eficaces y sanciones efectivas que demuestren que esta pol\u00edtica lleg\u00f3 para quedarse para el cuidado de la vida de los habitantes de la ciudad.
